When a candidate is located in Australia:

A Substantive Visa or a Bridging A, B, or C Visa is required.

Benefits of the SIV 188 visa include:

Significant Investor Visa (SIV) Stream, Section 188C

Only candidates who are recommended by an AusTrade are eligible for this visa.

For those who wish to spend at least AUD 15 million into compliant projects in Australia, this is a 4-year temporary visa. The Business Innovation & Investment (Residence) Subclass 888 visa allows applicants to apply for permanent residence after maintaining an investment in Australia for a period of one year.

To apply for this visa, the applicants may be in Australia or abroad.

Applicants who are already in Australia must be in possession of a Substantive Visa or a Bridging A, B, or C Visa.

Requirements in general:

  • Before receiving a visa, applicants must make an investment in a “premium investment” of at least AUD 15 million. For the purposes of the Premium Investor Visa, a “premium investment” includes:

  • .Government or semi-government bonds or notes issued in Australia
