Business Development & Investment Provisional Visas, Subclass 188
- Investors and business owners who wish to establish business operations in Australia may apply for Business Innovation & Investment Subclass 188 visas. The permit is good for four years.
- There are 5 streams of eligibility:
- Business and innovation stream 188A VISA
- Successful foreign businessmen and investors who wish to finance new or existing Australian ventures or make a designated investment in Australian State or Territory government bonds are eligible for this visa.
- Visa Type 188B (Investor Stream)
- This visa is only valid for four years. The Business Innovation & Investment (Residence) Subclass 888 visa allows you to apply for permanent residence after maintaining an investment in Australia for four years.
- SIGNIFICANT INVESTOR STREAM) 188C VISA
- for those who are prepared to spend at least AUD5 million on complying
- (PREMIUM INVESTOR STREAM) 188D VISA
for those who want to keep their business and investment activity in Australia and are willing to invest at least AUD15 million into compliant premium investments there. The Australian government must nominate candidates through Austrade.- Entrepreneur Stream 188E Visa
- for individuals who have a funding agreement in place from a third party for at least AUD200,000 to carry out an entrepreneur activity that is in compliance with the law and is intended to either result in the commercialization of a good or service in Australia or the growth of a business there. The government of a state or territory must nominate candidates.
