Inviting skilled workers from more than 250 professions from both onshore and offshore, South Australia has opened its migration programme for 2023–2024. While the requirements and processes for applying for visas from abroad remain the same, those from onshore will now go through a Registration of Interest (ROI) process.
The South Australian government announced the start of its migration programme last week and invited potential migrants to submit a free ROI for state nomination.
Following the allocation of 8,800 visa nomination slots the year before (2022–23), the state only received 2,300 spots, a significant decrease.
