The Student visa’s main objective is to enable foreign students to pursue full-time education and training in Australia. With this visa, a student may remain in Australia so long as the required course is being taken. Before submitting a visa application, the student must enrol, or in some cases, have a letter of offer, with an Australian educational institution.

How can I pick the best programme to enrol in in Australia?

The following list outlines the minimal requirements for this visa:

Depending on the level of risk assigned to your application (the “Immigration Risk”), which is a combined immigration risk assessment determined by the risk rating of the education provider and your passport nationality, you will need to meet specific requirements for this visa.

You must: as a visa applicant.

  • Get written confirmation of your full-time enrollment with an Australian educational institution (mostly online courses are not eligible for this requirement).
  • Sincerely intend to finish the relevant study period in Australia

PROCESS FOR APPLICATIONS

Prior to applying, you must be registered for a full-time course with an Australian educational institution and have received written confirmation of your enrolment (CoE) from that institution. Once everything is ready, we will submit your visa application to the DOHA. The primary requirement is that you satisfy the prerequisites listed above, the details of which will depend on the nationality of your passport and the requirements of the educational institution. Additionally, you must adhere to the pertinent standards of morality and fitness.

You may enter (or remain in) Australia to pursue your course of study once the DOHA has granted your visa. When enrolled in classes, you may work up to 40 hours per fortnight, but only for the duration of your initial visa.

once your course has started, work. Higher education research Masters and Doctoral level courses have different work provisions; if necessary, please discuss with us. If applicable, you should also verify the work allowance for any dependents on your application.

PLEASE NOTE: We estimate that it may take several weeks to prepare and file your application; however, the amount of time required will largely depend on how quickly you (and your sponsor, if applicable) supply us with the required supporting information and documents.

The length of time it takes the DOHA to process your application depends on its processing time service standards and may also vary due to a number of other factors, such as the complexity of your case, perceived risk factors, and processing priorities. For the most up-to-date details on the anticipated processing times for this kind of application, kindly contact us.

If there is a definite progression from one course to the next, you can apply for your Student Visa (subclass 500) to take two or more courses. We call this course packaging.

With your visa application, you must include a confirmation of enrollment (CoE) or evidence that a CoE is not necessary for each intended course.

Your main (or principal) course of study is the last course you will take as a part of your package of courses. Your financial and English language evidentiary requirements will be determined based on your primary course of study.
