who is eligible for this visa?
- If you qualify, you might be granted this visa:
- If you plan to apply from outside Australia and stay in Australia for three months or less, and you have the backing of a group or person in Australia who is in charge of the events or activities being carried out and meets the support criteria
- You intend to stay in Australia for a period of time greater than three months, your sponsor has been granted permission to sponsor you, and they have passed the sponsorship test
- meet the criteria for the activity category for which you are requesting this visa.
- while you are in Australia, have enough money to support you and your family.
- while visiting Australia, make appropriate arrangements for your health insurance.
- fulfill the requirements for character and health
- You actually intend to work or engage in the activity included in your application while temporarily residing in Australia.
Genuine temporary participation
- A measure of integrity known as the genuine temporary entrant requirement (GTE) is used to guarantee that the temporary visa program is used as intended and not as a means of establishing and maintaining permanent residency in Australia. Generally speaking, temporary residents cannot seek this visa in order to extend their stay in Australia past four years.
- All applicants for temporary activity visas must meet the GTE criteria. The visa officer will take into account if the applicant’s unique circumstances suggest that they intend to stay in Australia just temporarily.
- You must persuade us that your intention to visit Australia briefly is sincere.
When evaluating the GTE requirement, we will take into account:
- your environment
- history of your immigration
- adherence to visa requirements
- The purpose of your parent, legal guardian, or partner if you are under 18
- any other pertinent information.
Financial assistance
You must be able to support yourself while in Australia, as well as any qualified dependent family members you bring. An employment contract, bank statements, or a letter from your financial institution outlining your financial situation are just a few examples of the types of proof of funds that may be requested from you. When evaluating your capacity to support oneself, your employer’s allowances, accommodations, and other benefits may also be taken into account.
Your sponsor
- You must supply the following documentation from your sponsor whether you apply in Australia or from outside the country and want to stay for longer than three months:
- Sponsorship Application ID or the Sponsors Transaction Reference Number
- Letter of approval from the sponsor or a receipt for the submission of the sponsorship application.
- a formal guarantee that the sponsor will fulfil their commitments to sponsor you and all dependant family members listed in your application.
