South Australia has opened its migration program for 2023-24, extending invitations to both onshore and offshore skilled workers from more than 250 occupations. However this year, the state has implemented a fresh condition for onshore applicants (both

stipulating that they are no longer able to directly seek state nomination.

This implies that potential applicants will need to submit a ROI and wait for South Australia to invite them to apply for state nomination.

The procedure has not changed for offshore applicants, and the state will keep inviting people to apply for nomination by submitting Expressions of Interest through SkillSelect.
